Evelyn Coggins, 2 year Director

Since 2006, Evelyn Coggins MHSc, BEd, CHT, RH has owned and operated a private clinical herbal therapy practice in Pemberton BC, serving clients primarily in British Columbia’s Sea to Sky corridor.

In 2022 she completed a post-graduate diploma in Nutrition Science from the Stanford Center for Health Education.

She is a past faculty member at both Dominion Herbal College and on the Boucher campus of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine where she taught herbal medicine for many years.

Evelyn is a past and current member of the BCHA Board of Directors.

As a 1-year Director in 2021/2022 she was actively engaged in revising the Code of Ethics to 2022 standards with regard to member activity on social media, conduct expectations of BOD members and procedural guidelines and processes for disciplinary and grievance purposes. These documents have been incorporated into the British Columbia Herbalists Association’s  guiding document  “Standards of Practice for Herbal Therapists”  and reflect established guidelines of the national body, the Canadian Council of Herbalist Associations.

After a one-year hiatus from the BCHA’s Board, she has recently committed to serving a 2-year Directorship. She has also been an active member of the Peer Review Committee for a number of consecutive years.
